Broadcaster 2 – Remote Engine Control

Broadcaster 2 is a remote engine control system that helps to simplify the process of operating diesel, natural gas, VFD drive engines or combinations of the pumps.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

  • Remote engine controller provides remote control of up to 8 pumping units whether mechanical or J1939 CANbus electronic engines within 3 km (2.0mi) range using 900 MHz radio mesh network
    • Distance can change based on terrain or obstructions.

  • Control and display information on and from the remote controller used by the operator

  • Stay in control of your pumps to maintain optimum working pressures and flow rates

  • Detects pressure drop (adjustable) due to rupture or disconnection of outlet hose or piping and will bring engines back to idle within seconds
  • Using pump cruise feature – run boost pumps automatically based on inlet pressures

Safety Features
  • Using pump cruise feature – run boost pumps automatically based on suction (inlet) pump pressures
  • Adjustable inlet and outlet pump pressure settings
  • Suction (inlet) pump pressure settings
    • If the pressure drops below low-value setting, the engine will start to RPM down to minimize cavitation of the pump
  • Discharge (outlet) pump Pressure settings
    • If the pressure rises above high setting, the engine will start to RPM down to a lower pressure in the hose
    • save hose from reaching a rupture pressure – set maximum hose protection pressure desired
    • Detects rapid outlet pump pressure drop (2 sec) due to rupture or disconnection of outlet hose or piping and will bring engines back to idle within seconds
